The name is Nilesh Amonker as you would have figured by now….
I was born in 1971, blah blah blah blah…. Now I don’t want to bore you with all that.
Instead I’ll tell you a few unfascinating facts about myself :
For starters, I can’t play the guitar or the organ or the trumpet but I sure do enjoy listening to Bryan Adams, Eagles, Enigma and Bob Marley; a little of the new Bollywood scene and a lot of the old Kishore Kumar tracks. Hard to accept (for people who know me) but I do listen to a little bit of santoor and flute (yeah, would you believe it?) especially when I get into my “meditative” moods….. Yes Sir, I am into meditation off and on and am also fairly regular with my pranayamas (breathing exercises)… that’s about as spiritual as I can get…..
I am not much of a believer in God or in spirits but I do believe in angels… somebody said we don’t see any angels because we call them friends; how true! On a serious note, I do believe that my Guardian Angel is always keeping a watch over me and nothing can ever go wrong as long as my angel is by my side. Comments anybody? I also believe in soul-mates and am of the opinion that your relationship with your soul-mate transcends space and time. Its not necessary that you fall in love or marry or even meet your soul-mate in every lifetime… sounds confusing? It is…. whoever said it was straight and simple!
On the whole, I am very social and tend to make friends easily and friends once made are usually for keeps. However, you would find the odd one who, for reasons best known to him/her has become a little aloof over a period of time; but that’s fine, nobody is complaining! I’d say I like all the people I meet. Now wait a sec, I know at least three people who I absolutely detest… more about them some other time!
For me outward appearances do not matter at all. You could well be wearing Armani and I’d care little if your attitude stinks. Likewise, I prefer to wear what I feel comfortable in. I am fairly well to do, reasonably intelligent (more than average I’d like to believe) and pretty much normal; as in I like the same things that most other men do – money, gizmos, wine and women (not necessarily in the same order). No, I don’t smoke; I stopped sometime in 2007 and I think it’s the worst thing one can do to his/her body. Don’t agree with me? No sweat buddy, you carry on, no qualms about that!
I try to paint a little once in a while (I spent a good part of my college days wooing the girl I loved – now, my wife – with cards made out of chart paper because the ones available on the market were way too expensive and I was way too broke) and I am currently writing a book on improving personal productivity i.e. on effective use of your time etc. etc. (If you are a publisher, lets talk!). You’ll also see (hopefully!) a bit of my creative streak in some of the photographs I have put up on the site. I try to express my creativity in the way I structure my business deals as well; that way there is something in it for everybody who is part of the deal.
About my wild side, I’d rather not mention anything that will make my wife get wild (at me)… I need a roof over my head you see and something to eat as well (No, I don’t cook although I do have a very dear friend who runs his own grill; but he makes me pay! 
)… But one thing I dare say, there is a wild side and it is as wild as wild can get! Now you go figure that one out; better still get in touch with me and I might just help you figure it out
